After leaving the franchising consulting role in the early 1990's
to pursue a career in consumer electronic repair shops, I have recently
returned to the franchising business as a franchiser, and I am presently
in the process of building long term relationships nationally with
individuals who value customer service and commitment to a system
in the consumer electronics field.
These individuals will have the following:
1. A successful consumer electronics service entity.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Good organizational and time management skills.
4. Able to impart industry knowledge and corporate systems to franchisees.
VRS Systems Inc. through expenditure of considerable money, time,
and effort has created and developed a unique system of uniform
methods, procedures, and marketing "service only" retail
stores in the consumer electronics field. VRS Systems Inc. has developed
trademarks under the trade name of "THE VIDEO RE-FIT SHOP"
and registered an easily recognized logo with a predominant green,
which suggests recycle. VRS Systems Inc. has a computer production
program that was developed for our business and is copy written.
We have developed a franchise agreement and an operations manual
that is tailored towards our business.
This is a unique time in the consumer electronics service industry.
Our services are becoming very much in demand, particularly with
the proliferation of big box stores and the demise of "Ma and
Pa" sales and service stores. Qualified television service
technicians are getting older and their numbers are decreasing.
It should also be noted that the largest consumer demands are for
large screen televisions and as you know they fail and require service.
In Winnipeg I have five franchises of which three have consistent
increases over the previous years sales because of their service
delivery on televisions. They have more than made up for their declining
VCR repair business.
As I previously stated, I am looking for entrepreneurial individuals
that wish to expand their business into franchises and become "MASTER
FRANCHISERS". I learned a valuable lesson while expanding from
one store to multiple stores. The qualifications of store managers
and staff in individual stores aside, the stores become more successful
when people that have a vested interest in the store run the store.
I therefore know that franchising is the path of expansion in this
business.
